A art exhibition hosted by Wyndham Grand Algarve at Quinta do Lago and featuring the works of renowned British artist Jessica Dunn has already raised €4,200 for two charities in the Algarve – APEXA and Existir.
The exhibition was inaugurated on June 2 and will continue until June 30allowing visitors to purchase the paintings on display, with 10% of sales going to charity.
“We would like to thank everyone for supporting our ‘Wanderings’ charity art exhibition, with a special thank you to the generous sponsors and to the artist, Jessica Dunn, for allowing us to display her amazing collection and make donation of one of his pieces for the charity auction,” Wyndham Grand Algarve said in a statement sent to the Resident.
“The grand opening turned out to be a successful evening of art appreciation and awareness with an exciting charity auction,” the hotel added. “The exhibition continues until June 30, so we encourage you to come and visit it.”
Two worthy charities in the Algarve were selected to be the beneficiaries of this event – APEXA, an association supporting people with special needs; and To existwhich helps people with disabilities as well as individuals and families in financial and social difficulty.

Jessica Dunn was born in London in 1963 to renowned actors Priscilla Morgan and Clive Dunn, best known for his role as Corporal Jones in the wildly popular BBC sitcom “Daddy’s Army”. Her youth was surrounded by creativity, having grown up in an artistic environment nurtured by her father, who was also an avid amateur portrait painter.
After her art foundation at Kingston Polytechnic, she continued drawing, painting and printmaking, which then took her to the Algarve, where she joined a design company and became passionate about abstract printing. land, sea and sky, inspired by this region.
Jessica has her own studio in Boliqueime and has been exhibiting her work for over 20 years, across Portugal, the UK as well as in Italy, having been featured in the the wall street journal online and Hello magazine.
