Housing, fees, adding staff and other issues will be discussed at the Sanford City Council workshop on Tuesday.
The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the Sanford City Hall meeting room. The issues discussed may be on the agenda of future Municipal Councils for voting. No final decision will be made before this time.
During the workshop, City Council members and staff will review system development costs, particularly in the Depot Park area and use of the Park Stage. Council will discuss the possibility of hiring additional staff within the city’s finance department.
The tobacco warehouse lease will be discussed as well as housing options for the on-site workforce. The date for the city’s national night will also be discussed and possibly set for a vote.
Council will discuss with the City of Broadway a leaf and branch disposal agreement between the two municipalities.
The city will consider several development agreements with various municipal and outside organizations such as: Lemon Springs Road Sewer Pumping Station, Highway 78 North and Main Street Townhouses.
Council will also discuss an ordinance amending the annual operating budget for the Lemon Springs Lift Station.
