Looking at a 25-year planning horizon, the city examines current land uses and engages with the community for feedback on how to shape the future.
âThe themes of the plan include highly valued and protected natural and cultural resources; livable, diversified,
and connected neighborhoods that adapt to growth; a resilient and stable economy; an inclusive,
supported, healthy, safe and educated community; infrastructure that supports community life; And one
active participant in a cooperative region, âthe city said in a statement.
The workshop meeting will take place on September 29, 6 to 7 p.m., at City Hall. Screens will be available and planning staff and consultants will be on hand to answer questions and hear comments. Individuals can travel at their convenience.
A final draft of the plan is expected to be presented to council in November.
