Creating digital content: a daily activity
Living a life without our daily digital necessities almost feels like a distant memory. Whether ordering groceries, satisfying a midnight urge, or calling a commute on the go is now an innate part of our daily life without which it can become less convenient. The conventional requirements to be a doctor, engineer or architect are no longer a choice or death situation in many households. But how did we find ourselves at the forefront of the digital revolution?
Tech experts, content creators, self-taught coders and many more are the frontiers that have changed the landscape of self-reliance. It all started with a single question: “What if I could?” “
Persistent individuals like YouTubers, bloggers, and podcasters – in other words, content creators – are more important than ever in making their niche a full-time job.
To make this idea more incredible, there is no real age limit for a content creator to be successful – a 9-year-old YouTuber earns insane numbers at 8 from his videos while a podcaster of 54 -year-old Joe Rogan recently sold his podcast for over $ 100 million.
Can we Bangladeshis pursue this same scandalous dream? Can we put it all on the line to do what we love? Can you become a full-time content creator without being stigmatized?
Rafayat Rakib is one such person who has been working in the content creation game for over a decade. From making videos on his cell phones, having his own successful YouTube channel, until now having his own studio, Double R Studios, the creative brain has overcome many obstacles to be where he is now.
The content creator had to hang up his daily job at a prestigious multinational company to pursue his passion.
âI wanted to be close to my family but my job back then required me to stay out of town. Now I’m happy. I can see my parents whenever I want and I can take them wherever I want. “said Rakib. .
This sense of accomplishment did not come easily. He believes diversity is the key to being successful in the content creation game. Whether it’s vlogs, skits, podcasts, reactions, reviews, or even roasts, it did it all.
“You can’t do the same until the end of time. You are, at the end of the day, a human. You grow, evolve and learn. I want to portray and convey this to my followers,” he said. he adds. .
The inventive content creator has disclosed that no one can be on top of “Hill of Fame” overnight. âYou have to put in the hours, you have to work. You have to push yourself,â he said.
Rafayat said content creators have a responsibility to set an example for current and future generations.
âThere comes a time when you have to start giving back, you want to see the mindset change. The mindset of being on your own with what you love,â Rafayat said.
He hopes to create jobs through his creative efforts while promoting the creativity and ingenuity of the young generation of Bangladesh. He wants to make it a standard where it’s no longer a stigma to make a living from content creation. In other words, with great power comes great responsibility and he wishes to take that responsibility and fulfill it!
