Art Lounge Manila’s successful debut at the Art Fair

This was indeed a milestone for Art Lounge Manila as the gallery made its debut at the ninth edition of Art Fair Philippines.

From March 23 to April 1, the gallery presented “Ready…Get Set…Go!” an exhibition featuring 12 allegorical pieces by Torres alluding to the upcoming May elections and the carnivalesque nature of the performances that mark the presidential race.

With sharp, thought-provoking and sometimes humorous works, the Torres exhibit left people wondering what it’s like to love our country at this crucial time.

Art Lounge Manila (ALM) previously featured the works of Juanito Torres titled “Quest for Freedom” in an exhibition in June 2021. The paintings featured in the exhibition were based on historical events.

ALM is a premier art venue hosting important and emerging talent from the local and international visual arts community. It hopes to promote arts and culture through well-curated exhibitions, creative concepts and collaborations between different artists, art forms and institutions.

“Ready…Get Set…Go!: The Solo Exhibition of Juanito Torres” for Art Fair Philippines 2022 kicked off with an art talk and vernissage. The exhibition was presented at The Gallery on the 2nd and 3rd levels of the Greenbelt 5 shopping center in Makati City.
